Business Continuity Management
Business Continuity Management (BCM) is more than planning how to recover after a crisis! A good and structured Business Continuity Plan (BCP) will:
1. probe your understanding of your business and identify where the critical points are,
2. pre-empt crisis handling by 'forcing' you and your team to think of a back-up plan even before the crisis happens,
3. teach all staff how to spot the symptoms of a crisis, and how to send the alert to the entire team,
4. your team is already prepared of what will happen, and they will be more mentally prepared to handle emergencies (e.g. unexpected situations that no one could have thought of, e.g. Pandemic Management (PM)
5. recover faster and lessen the impact of the crisis
6. deal with the after-effects of the crisis, so that the company and the team emerges stronger!
